About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Spread Capital Corporation (“ChatWithCloud”, “we”, “us”). They cover the ChatWithCloud command-line tool (the chatwithcloud npm package), this website at chatwithcloud.ai and the web app at app.chatwithcloud.ai, including the free AWS code converters, accounts and the dashboard (together, the “services”). By using the services you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

Accounts

  • You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
  • An account is for one person. You’re responsible for what happens under it.
  • You can stop using the services at any time and delete your account from the Account page in the web app (see your privacy rights).

Your AWS account and AI-generated code

ChatWithCloud uses AI models to write code and answers. Please read this part carefully.

  • The CLI runs the code it generates without asking first, using the permissions of the AWS profile you choose. A request like “delete the old snapshots” is carried out straight away. Use a read-only IAM role unless you intend to make changes. See how to set one up.
  • You’re responsible for your AWS account: the permissions you grant, the actions taken with them and any AWS charges that result.
  • AI output can be wrong. Answers, cost figures and converted code may be incomplete or incorrect. Review and test converter output before you use it, especially in production.
  • Don’t paste secrets (access keys, passwords, tokens) into the converters. Replace them with placeholders first.

Acceptable use

When using the services, you agree not to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • try to access other people’s accounts or data, or probe, scan or test the services’ security without our written permission;
  • get around rate limits, usage limits or license checks, or resell or share access to the managed service;
  • send automated or bulk traffic that overloads the services, or use them to build a competing dataset or model;
  • upload malware or content you don’t have the right to share.

We may limit, suspend or close access that breaks these rules or puts the services or other users at risk.

Plans, payments and licenses

  • Free trial: the CLI’s first 15 runs are free and don’t need an OpenAI key.
  • Managed subscription: billed monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Lifetime license: a one-time payment for the CLI, used with your own OpenAI API key. You pay OpenAI directly for your model usage. “Lifetime” means for as long as we offer the CLI, and it doesn’t include future paid products.
  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles taxes and invoices. Lemon Squeezy’s own terms apply to the purchase. We never see your full card details.
  • Refunds: if something went wrong with a purchase, email us. We handle refund requests fairly and always as required by the consumer laws that apply to you.
  • We may change prices for new purchases or future billing periods. We’ll give subscribers notice before a price change affects them.

The web app’s AWS code converters are free. They have usage limits, which are higher when you’re signed in, and we may change those limits or the tools themselves.

Your content and ours

  • Your content stays yours. This covers the code, questions and other material you submit. You give us permission to process it only as needed to run the services: for example, sending code to an AI model to convert it.
  • Output is yours to use, subject to these terms, the terms of the AI provider involved and any open-source licenses that apply to the code.
  • The ChatWithCloud name, logo, website, web app and documentation belong to us. The CLI’s code is covered by the license published with the npm package.
  • ChatWithCloud is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon Web Services. AWS and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Third-party services

The services rely on and link to services run by others, including AWS, OpenAI and other AI providers, Lemon Squeezy, and Google and GitHub for sign-in. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or that their output will be accurate.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, AWS charges or changes made to your AWS resources. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or removes rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country.

Changes and ending these terms

  • We may update these terms. For material changes, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice on this page and, if you have an account, by email. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept it.
  • You can end this agreement at any time by stopping use of the services and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Spread Capital Corporation is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn’t take away any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
